PRELIMINARY EENET SCHEDULE
MAY - DECEMBER 1995
DATE & TIME TITLE
MAY 24 RADIOLOGICAL SERIES UPDATE - This program will
11:00AM-3:30PM provide instructors with new information, review
of materials, exercises, etc. for newly developed
and revised courses in the radiological training
series.
JUNE 14 ANIMALS IN DISASTERS - This program will provide
11:00AM-4:30PM information on the issues and responsibilities of
caring for pets, domestic livestock and wildlife
affected by disaster. The presenters will be
well-known experts in the field of animal care
and veterinary medicine, who have experience in
disasters.
AUGUST 2 DISABILITIES AND DISASTER: FIVE YEARS OF ADA
11:00AM-3:30PM IMPLEMENTATION - This program will focus on
"lessons learned" and accomplishments in emergency
management and disaster response. Among topics
to be discussed will be: How the Fire Service
and other emergency management professions have
met the ADA challenge; and the coalitions being
built between emergency management agencies and
the disability community.
AUGUST 30 RAPID ASSESSMENT - This program will discuss the
2:00PM-4:00PM local, State and federal government roles in
rapidly assessing damage following a disaster to
save and sustain lives. Rapid assessment is
needed to prioritize response activities,
allocate scarce resources, and request specific
assistance from outside the local jurisdictions.
SEPTEMBER 20 DONATIONS MANAGEMENT - This broadcast will
2:00PM-3:30PM concentrate on training State and local emergency
management personnel, corporations, voluntary
agencies, civic clubs, and elected officials on
effective donations management techniques.
Discussed will be donations strategy, concept of
operations, public awareness and preplanning
factors, and donations coordinator team functions.
Additional broadcasts currently are in planning stages, and updated schedules
will be provided periodically.
A TECHNICAL TEST WILL BE AIRED FOR THIRTY MINUTES PRIOR TO EACH BROADCAST.
